Hi All,
When planning a podcast it is important to understand the message that you are trying to deliver, from here you can select an appropriate title for you podcast so that eligible viewers can easily locate it. After titling, make sure that the podcast is organized and detailed to help the viewer experience a positive point of view. For my podcast I decided to create an easy video to follow regarding my favorite hobby, Texas Hold 'Em. This podcast will allow viewers the opportunity to understand not only the fundamentals of the game but also help people who are already playing an opportunity to see some more advanced tips to hopefully help propel their game. When planning my podcast I basically thought of the way my mind works during the course of my poker session. Obviously for the sake of keeping the podcast relatively short I decided to include only the more important detail and exclude some information for a later podcast. It was important to understand that not everyone understands the game as in-depth as I do so I need to be mindful that the average person might not understand some of the jargon used during the game. Therefore, I tried to put it together so that even if you had never heard of the game before at the end of the viewing you could still find it easy to follow.

Besides uploading photos, it asks questions like hobbies, where you work, go to school, things you like, favorite authors, books, quotes and many more. This attempt to get to know the user allows the site to accurately recommend links to others sites or other users that you may be interested in taking a look at. It is important to always lock your account or log off after you step away from the computer, i can think of several occasions where i have either fallen victim or been the perpetrator when leaving the account accessible to someone else. A funny prank can be rather embarassing when one carelessly leaves personal information unprotected. I can remember a friend of mine changed my profile picture to a naked picture of Burt Reynolds, Needless to say, i found it to be a pretty funny stunt but this is just an example of how detrimental it can get if placed in the wrong hands. Someone could message a co-worker, relative or even long lost acquaitance information that you would prefer not be shared. In the past, i would say I was mostly concerned about my privacy, I was always opposed to Facebook because I believe allowed people to learn to much information about others. Not to mention, it causes many unneccesary conflicts which i shared in a discussion in a previous unit. However, classes like this teach us how to use these sites in a way where we can protect ourselves and utilize them in a matter that will benefit us. Regards, Frank

Despite the websites increasing popularity I have yet to dive into the world of Twitter, however, I have a general idea as to how it works. On the contrary, i have had quite a bit of experience with Facebook and I can say that I have been witness to ways that it may be used positively as well as negatively. This interactive blog is a great tool to stay connected with friends and family regardless of where they live so long as they have access to the internet. For example, last week I had the opportunity to re-connect with a girl I dated back in high school almost 10 years ago, it was great to hear from her and learn what she was doing with her life now and where she was living. That alone should prove to be a great benefit, however, my current girlfriend is able to access my page and can see who has posted to my page, similarly, she can see whose page i have posted too. Knowing this, she immediately became suspicious of this new found friend and it sparked an unnecessary argument between us. In a professional environment Facebook can have the same type of impact. I can remember a few years back I was applying for a job as a bartender at a nightclub back home, the manager of the club asked "how many friends do you have on Facebook"? Essentially, he was trying to get an idea as to how many new customers I could help bring into the bar, this was obviously a positive impact since it was likely the main reason I was accepted for the position. However, I can think of a time not to long ago with my current employer where a co-worker called in because she was "sick", however, she is friends on Facebook with my manager and the night before she was posting several pictures and making comments about the bar she had gone to the night prior. Needless to say, my manager had a lengthy conversation with her when she returned to work the following day.
